Reigning RBS 6 Nations champions England Women sent out a clear message when they inflicted a dominating 55-0 defeat on Wales in the opening game of the championship at London Irish RFC.

Gary Street’s side, aiming to secure an unprecedented third consecutive Grand Slam win in six nations history, ran in a massive nine tries and also slammed the door firmly shut on their rivals. The win hands England their seventh victory in eight outings on the bounce where they have not conceded a single point. Nigel Turner reports for Sportuk.tv
