33rd Whitefield International Volleyball Tournament

The 33rd Whitefield International Volleyball Tournament once again proved a major attraction with teams from all over the country heading for Bath.

120 teams contested the outdoor event played on the Bath Recreation Ground - home of the Premiership rugby club - and a further 20 men's and women's teams contested the indoor competition.

The men's Premier Division final was between London Docklands and White Eagles with the Docklands winning in three sets to take the title for a fourth successive year.

The women's title was claimed by Team DR, a scratch side put together for tournament play made up of national league and Italian Serie B players. They maintained their proud record of never having lost a set at Whitefield as they beat Wessex in the final.
