Action Sports Cricket League

14th May 2007

Action Sports is launching a new midweek Action Indoor Sports Cricket league... as they say "it never rains here"

How it works:

Squads of 8 people play 6-a-side cricket in the first Action
Indoor Cricket league lasting 10 weeks. There will be 6 teams per league, playing between 7pm-11pm on Mondays to Fridays. There will also be prelim games [to establish your grading], semi finals and finals. Medals and trophies will be awarded as well as player of the match prizes.

Only £30 per game

Action indoor games are played on netted pitches by teams of six players. A game works out at around £5 per person based on a squad of 6. This charge includes the services of an umpire, who will also advise you on the rules of each game.
Bookings can be made by calling 0117 903 1434.

Action Sports launches in UK

A brand new concept in community sport has been launched in the UK with the first Action Sports Centre being opened on the site of the former loss making council owned Whitchurch Sports Centre in Bristol.

The whole interior of the building has been renovated to provide comfortable social surroundings for players and spectators alike.

The idea which has been pioneered in South Africa and Australia is to bring sports lovers together under one roof to play short-sided versions of popular team games - cricket, football, netball and beach volleyball. Local groups can enter teams into the league structure which is graded to ensure that each side is evenly matched.
